I'm Eduardo, an hands-on software engineer and engineering leader based in beautiful Setúbal, Portugal — 50 km south of Lisbon.
I build backend systems for fintech and payments — primarily Go, MySQL/PostgreSQL and AWS. I've designed ledger systems, high-throughput payment APIs and the distributed infrastructure underneath them, and led engineering teams through PCI/DSS Level 1, SOC 1 and SOC 2 certifications. My background spans individual contributor to CTO; I stay close to the code regardless of the role.
